The construction team behind the Chongqing-Wanzhou high-speed railway project has reached an important milestone when it bored through a key tunnel on June 12, 2023. The crucial Zhangjiakou tunnel is the first to be completed along the railway that connects Chongqing East station and Wanzhou district. The project is expected to be completed in June 2025.
