Volunteer motorcyclists help firefighters battle wildfire in Chongqing amid record heatwave

Triggered by drought and the hottest weather in decades, wildfires were raging in three districts of Chongqing on August 25, 2022. Continuous efforts by local firefighters, reinforcements from other regions and volunteers have managed to contain most of the fires. The China Meteorological Administration has predicted continued high temperatures of up to 40 degrees Celsius (104°F) in the region.
