Donald Trump wasted no time on the first day of his second term as US president by signing a series of executive orders on January 20, 2025. Trump pardoned more than 1,500 of his supporters who stormed the Capitol on January 6, 2021, in a bid to overturn the results of the 2020 election. Trump also signed orders revoking nearly 80 executive actions by his predecessor Joe Biden, including those tackling immigration policies, gender equality and climate change.
