Canteen explosion in Chongqing leaves at least two dead and several injured

An explosion in the southwestern Chinese municipality of Chongqing has killed at least two people and left nine others injured. Around 20 people are believed trapped in the rubble of a canteen, which collapsed following the blast that occurred at around noon on January 7, 2022. A suspected gas leak is believed to be the cause of the explosion.
