At least 13 people, including nine Chinese nationals and two Pakistani soldiers, were killed on July 14, 2021, after a blast sent a bus plunging down a ravine in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan. China has called for the swift arrest of the attackers behind the blast, but Pakistani authorities said the explosion is still under investigation.
