Hong Kong’s political camps fight a neck-and-neck battle in the Kowloon West by-election.
Labour Party stalwart Lee Cheuk-yan, endorsed by the pro-democracy camp, urged voters to make their voices heard and safeguard the city’s freedoms. Meanwhile rival pro-establishment candidate Chan Hoi-yan appealed for a rational and pragmatic voice in the Legislative Council.
Other candidates on the ballot were Fung Kin-kee, Tzeng Li-wen and Ng Dick-hay.
