China’s world-leading cancer drug Toripalimab has become the first biopharmaceutical drug in the country to be approved for use in the US. The Food and Drug Administration approved the treatment for nasopharyngeal carcinoma on October 27, 2023, amid a shortage of cancer medicine in the US. Two other Chinese-made cancer drugs also received FDA approval in November. But the price of Toripalimab will cost over 30 times more in the United States than in China.
