Chinese professor invents culinary robot to bring Chinese cooking to the world

Chen Guanhua, a chemistry professor turned restaurateur, has invented a culinary robot which he says can cook high quality Chinese food in 2 to 3 minutes. The robot, which does not require any human intervention, is already deployed at one restaurant in Hong Kong’s Kwun Tong district. Chen now aims to sell the robot internationally, with a goal of making 30,000 units a year and earning HK$2 billion (US$256,480) annually by 2028. So far, his robot has been sold to customers in Japan and the United States.
