Taiwanese entertainer Tino Bao has used artificial intelligence to create a digital version of his only daughter, who died of a rare blood disease at age 22 in 2021. The grieving father chose to pursue a PhD in AI the following year. The AI creation is capable of real-time conversations and interactions, singing and dancing. Bao served as a judge on the famous mainland Chinese talent show Super Girls and is popular with viewers for his biting judging style.
