NAUTICAL FORCE (L187) from the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After the 500M improved into a tight run and made contact with a runner and became unbalanced. Rider stated that his mount travelled keenly in the early stages when it settled back in the field as expected. He said with the race being run at a slow pace throughout the early and middle stages his mount found it difficult to make up ground back in the field. After the race was examined by the vet who said an endoscopic exam showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Has since passed an official vet exam - Race 659.
