TROUBLE IN RUNNING

LUCKY SECRET (L073) rider stated that his mount hung out throughout the event and weakened in the Home Straight. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. Finished tailed out and performance was considered unacceptable. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 600.

TEAM HAPPY (J218) was slow into stride - Race 071.

MY FLYING ANGEL (J174) a short distance after the start was crowded for room. Was unable to improve its position when held up for clear running from the 500M until near the 300M - Race 071.

YEE CHEONG RAIDER (J176) was forced very wide on the Home Turn. Rider stated he was of the opinion that his mount was not comfortable on the race's "Good to Firm" track conditions. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 057.

HAPPY ACTION (K399) near the 50M was eased and shifted in to continue into clear running. Rider stated that the preference was to hold a more forward position but despite riding his mount along in the early stages it failed to show sufficient pace to do so - Race 088.

SUPERB GUY (K323) was slow to begin and was then crowded. Near the 900M was restrained off heels - Race 071.

HAPPYDEARHAPPYDEER (J002) noted to have blood in its mouth on arrival at the Start, was examined by the vet and passed suitable to race. Was slowly away - Race 068.

KOLACHI (J395) near the 1200M when negotiating the turn was restrained off heels - Race 068.

TURF PHOENIX (J294) rider stated that he was instructed to hold a midfield position. He said he rode his mount in accordance with his instructions in the early stages but his mount raced keenly and refused to settle in the early and middle stages. Trainer confirmed the instructions and stated he issued those instructions as his mount had failed to run on when previously ridden in a forward position - Race 079.
