Recap by phillip woo

Favourite Golden Friendship travelled one off in third from gate 10 before hitting the front 100m out and edging clear for a maiden win at his 11th start. He appreciated the return to the level of a near course and distance win in September. Sky Song stayed on well for second after a prominent run one off the fence. It was a better effort following a gear change. Punted late Ever Smart ran on for third after a rails run from better than midfield. It was his best effort from five starts this term. Island Breezes made good ground late near the inside to just miss a placing after biding his time second last following a tardy start. It was an improved effort down in Class five. Happy Boys wove a run late near the inside to just miss the frame after a rails run from behind midfield. He should find his mark eventually in this grade. General Smart made good ground late after working to outside 150m out following a patient ride at the back despite gate one. It was a pleasing effort down in Class Five at his first run since April following a tendon injury. Happy Horse disappointed after tracking the speed on the fence.
