TROUBLE IN RUNNING
ENDUED (K033) from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Between the 300M and the 100M had difficulty obtaining clear running - Race 254.
ETALON OR (J273) crowded shortly after the start. In the middle stages raced keenly and leaving the 700M shifted out and made contact with a runner - Race 244.
THE LION KING (K265) bumped and taken wider near the 300M - Race 221.
HAPPY UNIVERSE (J533) raced wide and without cover from the 800M. Bumped near the 750M. After the race was examined by the vet who said an endoscopic exam showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Has since passed an official vet exam - Race 163.
THE GOLDEN KNIGHT (K341) jumped only fairly. Between the 450M and the 250M was held up for clear running. Approaching the 150M was eased and shifted in to continue into clear running. Rider reported that the intention was to hold a more forward position but after beginning only fairly his mount did not show sufficient pace to do so - Race 221.
FRANTANCK (H429) near the 900M was steadied when momentarily crowded. Noted to have lost its left front plate after the race - Race 199.
GLORIASTAR (K439) raced very wide and without cover from the 800M - Race 221.
CALIFORNIA BANNER (J132) leaving the 1000M commenced to race keenly and was steadied to avoid a runner - Race 239.
KYRUS TREASURE (K300) shifted in at the start and was bumped - Race 238.
SANDMAN (K220) jumped only fairly. After the event rider reported that his mount made a respiratory noise during and after the race. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. Finished tailed out and performance was considered unacceptable. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 729.
CONSPIRACY WITNESS (J541) near the 1400M was steadied when shifting in to obtain cover - Race 221.
LUCKY KING (J449) was withdrawn by order of the Stewards when it became fractious and refused to enter the Parade Ring - Race 195.
INNO SUPER (K319) post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 278.
