TROUBLE IN RUNNING

ARGENTO OCEAN (K322) raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event - Race 533.

AMAZING VICTORY (G123) near the 500M shifted out when being steadied. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 547.

MASTER LUCKY (K582) jumped awkwardly and lost ground. Near the 1100M improved into a run when there was not sufficient room and then raced tight to the inside of a runner before shifting in and away from that runner. Leaving the 800M was steadied when crowded - Race 538.

GENIUS BABY (K132) jumped only fairly - Race 550.

THE HEIR (H459) shifted out shortly after the start and was bumped. Approaching the 300M blundered when being shifted out to obtain clear running - Race 547.

FATAL BLOW (J484) post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 470.

SUPERB BOY (G335) rider reported that his mount jumped only fairly and as a result settled further back in the field than what had been anticipated - Race 560.

TRENDY RUSH (L209) jumped only fairly. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages - Race 529.

GREAT LOOKING (J198) bumped at the start. After travelling a short distance blundered. After the race was examined by the vet who found that horse to be a "roarer" which had previously been reported. Finished tailed out on the second consecutive occasion and performance was considered unacceptable. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in consecutive barrier trials and passed an official vet exam which must include additional diagnostic assessments - Race 098.

CALIFORNIA DEEPLY (G451) post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 551.

LEGEND STAR (K271) raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Rider stated that the instructions were to settle where comfortable. He said when caught wide in the early stages he elected to allow the horse to stride forward to hold an on-pace position - Race 529.

GIANT LEAP (J143) after travelling a short distance made contact with a runner when racing tight. Rider stated that his mount jumped only fairly and he was then obliged to make use of it in the early stages to go forward in accordance with his instructions. He said when caught wide in the early stages he had to continue to make use of the horse to obtain a position outside the lead and as a result in the Home Straight his mount was left without a finishing effort. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. Performance was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race start. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 551.
