TROUBLE IN RUNNING

HERBAL STAR (L053) near the 50M was accidentally struck across its head by the whip of a rider. Lay out under pressure in the Home Straight - Race 322.

FLOWING RICHES (K293) near the 850M was steadied and shifted out - Race 306.

KINGDOM OF RICHES (K079) when questioned rider stated that prior to the start being effected he looked behind to seek assistance from the starting gate handler and shortly after, the start was effected which resulted in him becoming badly unbalanced and his mount jumping awkwardly. When questioned regarding his riding and in particular the fast early pace set, rider stated that whilst he was aware that the pace of the event was inside of standard time his mount was racing too keenly and despite his efforts to set a more sustainable pace his mount did not respond to his efforts to do so. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. Finished tailed out and performance was considered unacceptable. The next day was reported to be lame in its right front leg. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam which included additional diagnostic assessments - Race 156.

GRAND MASTERMIND (L084) jumped only fairly. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 297.

GLACIATED (K272) blundered on jumping, became unbalanced and lost ground. In the middle stages raced keenly and near the 700M was steadied - Race 317.

INCREDIBLE MOMENT (K275) when placed under pressure over the final 200M lay out - Race 337.

SPEEDY SMARTIE (H108) near the 800M was steadied when crowded - Race 306.

JUICY DRAGON (K405) was obliged to race wide and without cover from the 600M. Near the 400M was bumped - Race 317.

KING DANCE (K157) from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 299.

SKY CAP (K125) when questioned rider stated that with blinkers being applied for the first time he was instructed to lead the event. He said as his mount does not possess fast early pace he was obliged to make use of his mount in the early stages to comply with his instructions to cross runners to his inside. He said after entering the Back Straight it commenced to race keenly and he was unable to restrain his mount any further to set a more sustainable pace which resulted in it racing inside of standard time throughout the early and middle stages of the event. When questioned regarding placing his mount under pressure from the 350M rider stated that as it can be one-paced and requires some time to respond to his riding he felt it was the appropriate time to place the horse under pressure despite the fact that it had run inside of standard time throughout the early and middle stages - Race 350.

HINOKAMI KAGURA (H384) rider reported that his mount was disadvantaged by racing very wide and without cover for the majority of the event and as a consequence was not able to run on in the Home Straight. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 317.
