PHILIP WOO’S FORMLINE
Ka Ying Glory has big shoes to fill as a half-brother to sprint sensation Ka Ying Rising but has stretched out beautifully on the speed to win his final two of five trials. Loving Vibes has shown different run patterns to place in three of four starts over this C&D and should get every chance from gate one. Sea Emerald stayed on well for second to Akashvani after tracking the winner on the speed from gate 11 on debut earlier this month over this C&D and should naturally be fitter for this run. Jumbo Treasure will likely be giving them a start from gate 13 but did back up a closing fifth to La Forza with a third behind promising pair Justifying and Super Strong Kid. He is bred to relish today's 1,200m.
TROUBLE IN RUNNING
YIU CHEUNG VICTORY (J529) on jumping was crowded. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event - Race 514.
VICTOR THE RAPID (J393) raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 428.
SEA EMERALD (J518) on jumping was bumped - Race 487.
BLAZING BEAM (K103) bumped shortly after the start. Near the 550M brushed with a runner and as a result made the turn wider - Race 450.
JUBILANT WINNER (J346) shifted out at the start and was bumped. Near the 850M was bumped. For a short distance near the 350M was held up for clear running - Race 241.
MAGIC COMBO (K213) jumped only fairly - Race 430.
SUPER SICARIO (K306) was slow to begin. In the early stages raced keenly and near the 900M was steadied to avoid a runner - Race 508.
LOVING VIBES (J359) bumped after the 900M - Race 469.
DEVILDOM (H445) after the event, rider stated that after electing to go forward his mount was obliged to race very wide and without cover when unable to cross runners to its inside. He added after passing the winning post his mount made a respiratory noise. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. Finished tailed out and performance was considered unacceptable. Has since performed satisfactorily in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 432.
PRECIOUS HILL (J475) bumped after travelling a short distance. After the event, rider stated that his mount raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event and lay out making the Home Turn before giving ground in the Home Straight. He added, in his opinion, he felt there may be something amiss with his mount. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. Has since passed an official vet exam - Race 442.
