Race Eight : (340) - TAI TONG HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 POWER KOEPP (E301) M Chadwick From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 2 COTTON FINGERS (H398) H Bowman Near the 100 Metres became held up for clear running behind SUPER FORTUNE and then over the concluding stages could not be fully tested when it remained positioned close to the heels of that runner.
Horse No 4 I GIVE (H036) A Atzeni Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 PULSAR STRIDER (G407) L Hewitson From the 400 Metres to the 300 Metres was held up behind I GIVE.
After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that PULSAR STRIDER had bled from both nostrils.
Before being allowed to race again, PULSAR STRIDER will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 7 STAR LINE (J110) B Avdulla Jumped only fairly.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 8 GIDDY UP (J020) A Hamelin Jumped awkwardly.
Horse No 9 DENFIELD (G471) L Ferraris Raced wide and without cover from the 650 Metres.
After the race, L Ferraris reported that he had some concern with his mount's action when under pressure in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Before being allowed to race again, DENFIELD will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 10 MAGNIFICENT NINE (H433) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 CAPITAL LEGEND (G333) H Bentley After the race, H Bentley stated that from the outside barrier he settled back in the field.
He said in the Home Straight CAPITAL LEGEND finished the race off only fairly and found it difficult to make up ground when making its run to the outside of the field.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 12 MASTER STROKE (J036) K De Melo Jumped only fairly.
Horse No KAHOLO ANGEL (H216) C Y Ho Withdrawn on 11.1.24 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (blood abnormality).
Before being allowed to race again, KAHOLO ANGEL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

I Give kept up a strong gallop after leading from gate seven to ring up a remarkable sixth win from seven starts this term. Favourite Magnificent Nine ran on steadily to just get the better of Super Fortune for second after a one-off trip from midfield. He was able to build on a luckless seventh on debut last month. Well-backed Super Fortune kept on gamely for third after a speed-tracking role on the fence. It was a return to form after two below par efforts. Cotton Fingers stayed on for fourth without clear running for a majority of the straight following a rails run from midfield. Giddy Up ran on well to finish next best after making his run fourth last following a slow start. He's shown potential in his three local starts. Viva Graciousness ran on without threatening after wide trip from behind midfield. It was a better effort at his second local run. Pulsar Strider only plodded after making his run on the back of the eventual winner. Sensationally backed newcomer Star Line never landed a blow from near the rear.
