California church shooting suspect may face death penalty

Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer said on May 17, 2022, that he would not rule out seeking the death penalty against David Chou, who has been charged with murder and attempted murder. Chou, 68, is accused of opening fire at a southern California church on May 15, an attack that killed one and wounded five others.
