Pop star Katy Perry and five other women embarked on a trip lasting just 11 minutes aboard a Blue Origin rocket launched from the US state of Texas on April 14, 2025. It was the first all-female space flight in more than 60 years. Blue Origin, owned by billionaire Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, aims to develop space tourism. However, a ticket for the brief journey into Earth’s orbit reportedly costs hundreds of thousands of US dollars per person.
