PHILIP WOO’S FORMLINE

Keefy just finished out of the placings in back-to-back Valley 1,650m runs from awkward draws before staying on a non-threatening third ridden box seat over 1,800m. Gate four and a gear change to visors should help the old timer deliver a winning run. Beauty Alliance was in the mix in two of his first three starts this term before getting touched off late by Stunning Peach after leading near the 200m following a prominent run up in Class Two over 1,800m. He's back in Class Three and has proven Valley form. California Moxie is up in class and known to flub the start but does really have a knack for the Valley 1,650m, including a second come-from-behind win last start. He should hold his own up in grade carrying 12lb less. King Lotus is a likely improver with a return to his favourite Valley track and does draw favourably in one.

TROUBLE IN RUNNING

SOLID WIN (J225) bumped on jumping - Race 472.

FLYING FORTRESS (J445) when questioned rider explained that over the concluding stages his mount did not feel comfortable in action and, being concerned with the horse's welfare, he elected not to ride out, given the manner in which the horse weakened over the concluding stages. After the race was examined by the vet who said an endoscopic exam showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse's trachea. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 430.

KEEFY (G306) bumped on jumping. Near the 350M shifted out to improve and made contact with a runner - Race 514.

WITHOUT COMPARE (L151) bumped on jumping - Race 464.

DARYL FLASH (L168) shifted out on jumping, and rider had to correct his mount. Near the 900M was steadied when racing keenly and then continued to race keenly in the middle stages - Race 453.

FORTUNATE SON (J446) shifted out slightly at the start and was bumped. From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages - Race 534.

VET'S REPORT

FLYING FORTRESS (J445) 11/02/2026 Rider concerned horse's action during racing and was eased down over the concluding stages. Also substantial mucus in trachea noted on post-race scoping. (passed on 17/03/2026).

TRINITY TREASURE (L167) 04/12/2025 Lame right hind. (passed on 29/01/2026).

TRACKWORK HIGHLIGHT

Flying Fortress made ground behind a pair of smart rivals in his latest Valley trial.
