PHILIP WOO’S FORMLINE
Flying Wrote steps into Class Three, but his consistency was rewarded with another track and trip success after leading just under the 200m last start from better than midfield. He must have claims from gate one carrying 10lb less and rider Jerry Chau Chun-lok can do no wrong of late. Sports Legend has continued to finish in the mix in his past two C&D runs, including a recent speed-tracking second to Sovereign Fund, after a win from better than midfield in December. He's one of the main chances. Symbol Of Strength is building towards a win, backing up a one-paced fourth to Romantic Son two runs ago with a handily ridden neck third to Lucky Planet. Old-timer Harmony N Blessed has fallen four points below a Valley 1,000m win in November after producing only a fifth two runs ago over this C&D from eight consecutive runs. He should get every chance from gate three.
TROUBLE IN RUNNING
SYMBOL OF STRENGTH (K352) jumped awkwardly and then was tightened for room - Race 433.
POWER KOEPP (E301) rider could offer no explanation for his mount's disappointing performance. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 432.
HEY BROS (L150) on jumping became unbalanced when bumped - Race 410.
FLYING WROTE (J290) bumped at the start - Race 431.
EVERSTAR (K264) near the 800M over-raced and shifted out to avoid heels - Race 433.
TOURBILLON GOLFER (K320) rider could offer no explanation for his mount's disappointing performance. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 432.
FAMILY KNIGHT (K490) raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event - Race 423.
