PHILIP WOO’S FORMLINE
Young Champion produced a last-to-fifth effort behind Packing Hermod over this C&D when aided by an earpiece two runs ago before coming from behind midfield for a close second to Rubylot. He's since trialled nicely in blinkers and must have claims. Green N White returned with two smart wins over this C&D before backing up an OK showing over 1,600m with a rallying third to Patch Of Theta in a Group Three over this trip. He will be hard to keep out of the finish. Drombeg Banner returned a wire-to-wire winner over 1,400m in Class Two before giving a cheeky sight to fill the frame three times, including a recent second to Patch Of Theta after setting a strong pace from today's gate 11. He remains a pace threat with a move to a 10-pound claimer. Chiu Chow Spirit is likely on or near his mark but rarely produces a bad run over this C&D.
TROUBLE IN RUNNING
HEALTHY HAPPY (D435) jumped awkwardly - Race 314.
YOUNG CHAMPION (J195) jumped only fairly. Near the 400M improved into a tight run and as a result made contact with a runner for some distance thereafter - Race 343.
DANCING CODE (G365) in the early and middle stages raced keenly and was left racing wide and without cover from the 900M. Near the 400M was bumped on the hindquarters and as a result shifted out. Near the 50M was bumped - Race 343.
OUTGATE (H113) bumped on jumping. Approaching the 350M was bumped and taken wider - Race 343.
TOURBILLON PRINCE (H122) umped near the 400M - Race 343.
ALLCASH (K190) after the event, rider reported that his mount raced erratically throughout the event and was checked near the 600M when racing to the inside of a runner. He said his mount continued to race erratically thereafter. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. Finished tailed out, racing manners and performance were considered unacceptable. Has since performed satisfactorily in a barrier trial around a bend in Hong Kong and passed an official vet exam - Race 249.
AURORA LADY (J066) on jumping raced tight. For some distance approaching the 1000M became unbalanced when crowded for room - Race 355.
