TROUBLE IN RUNNING

FLOWING RICHES (K293) shifted out at the start and was bumped. Rider reported that his mount lay out and away from a runner after the 200M. He added that after the 100M when he used the whip in his left hand he aggravated an old injury to his left shoulder which restricted him being able to fully apply the whip over the concluding stages - Race 217.

LIGHT YEARS GLORY (K204) shifted in at the start and was bumped. Shifted out near the 350M when being corrected and was bumped. Rider reported that from the outside barrier he was instructed to take up a forward position and attempt to follow the favourite across. He said when his mount did not show sufficient pace to cross another runner it was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event where it hung in during the race. Trainer confirmed the instructions issued. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 179.

ALABAMA SONG (K480) from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 268.

ADORABLE SMILE (L011) from the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages - Race 198.

AMAZING PARTNERS (K554) bumped shortly after the start - Race 274.

SMART GOLF (L004) when placed under pressure over the final 300M hung out, resulting in its rider having to stop riding and straighten near the 150M - Race 217.

ZEPHYR (K414) on jumping was bumped. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event - Race 256.

GOOD FORTUNE (H349) approaching the 1100M was eased. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Rider reported that his mount would not respond to his efforts to restrain in the early stages and made the first turn wider before giving ground in the Home Straight. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. Finished tailed out and racing manners and performance were considered unacceptable. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 238.

SPARKLE AND GOLD (K259) approaching the 300M rider dropped his whip. Rider stated that his mount may not have appreciated the step-up in grade from restricted Class 4. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 199.

LAKESHORE HERO (J288) from the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 200M made contact with a runner when being shifted in to continue into clear running. Over the concluding stages was eased and shifted out to continue into clear running - Race 287.
