TROUBLE IN RUNNING

YOUNG BRAVO (K178) shortly after the start was bumped. Rider could offer no explanation for his mount's failure to run on in the Home Straight. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 769.

RAGGA BOMB (K162) near the 600M was steadied when carried wider. Finished 6th and rider was nonetheless reminded his obligation to ensure that he fully rides his mounts out to the finish of the race. Trainer confirmed that from the outside barrier he had instructed rider to ride the horse in a conservative manner in the early stages as it raced too keenly at its most recent start when it raced in a forward position - Race 119.

NOISY BOY (J536) when questioned regarding the disappointing performance rider stated that his instructions were to go forward. He said in the early stages when caught wide he was obliged to make use of his mount to clear runners to his inside. He said after obtaining the lead his mount was then disadvantaged by being pressured by a runner which was positioned to his outside. He added that when placed under pressure in the Home Straight his mount failed to respond to his riding and gave ground over the final 200M. He said his mount had pleased him in a barrier trial on 1 September 2026 and its most recent track work on 14 September 2026. Trainer advised that his mount had pleased him leading into the race and agreed with rider that the horse had been disadvantaged by having to be made use of to go forward in the early stages and then also being pressured in the lead. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings. Performance was considered disappointing. Has since performed to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and passed an official vet exam - Race 031.

YODA'S CHOICE (J146) the next day was reported to be lame in its right front leg. Has since passed an official vet exam - Race 758.

FIREFOOT (J183) relegated to 2nd placing on protest/objection. The Stewards deferred the declaration of weighed-in as they were of the opinion that an incident had occurred near the 150M which cast doubt on whether the horse should be declared the winner. Rider of the second placegetter lodged a protest/objection against the horse. Connections of the third placegetter also lodged a protest/objection against the horse upon review of the video footage. On the evidence it was established that near the 150M the horse crowded the second placegetter, which raced in restricted room for some distance and made contact with the third placegetter racing to its outside. The protest/objection was sustained for the second placegetter as the Stewards were of the opinion that had the interference not occurred the second placegetter would have finished in front of the horse bearing in mind the nose margin and the degree of interference suffered. However, the protest/objection lodged by the third placegetter was overruled as the Stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that the degree of interference suffered to the third placegetter was sufficient to justify an alteration to the placings bearing in mind the margin - Race 072.

PRECISION HOPE (L047) jumped only fairly - Race 082.

SUPREME MASTERMIND (K387) jumped only fairly. Bumped near the 1300M. Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event. - Race 110.

BULL ATTITUDE (K305) from the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Held up for clear running from the 400M until near the 100M. Over the final 100M lay out - Race 072.

GLORIOUS ST PAUL'S (K524) on jumping was bumped heavily. Rider stated that, in his opinion, the horse is better suited on the All Weather surface. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 081.
