PHILIP WOO’S FORMLINE
The progressive Emblazon reeled in Ka Ying Attack after a handy run last start over this trip for a fourth win and a second from five starts this term. He must have claims. Gustosisimo needs to lift on his overall form over 1,400m but has run well to fill the frame in his past three 1,200m runs across both tracks and should get all favours from gate one. Old-timer Healthy Happy has kept on for minor cheques in his past three of four C&D runs following a win in October. He remains one for the shortlist. Beauty Eternal must offset a tricky gate but hasn't been too far off the mark in his past three starts and is a well rated runner.
TROUBLE IN RUNNING
HEALTHY HAPPY (D435) leaving the 900M was steadied - Race 396.
BEAUTY ETERNAL (H008) blundered on jumping and shortly afterwards was bumped. Rider stated that the intention was to find a midfield position. He said when caught wide in the early stages he was obliged to continue forward to race outside the lead to avoid covering additional ground - Race 449.
NEW FOREST (K094) noted to have blood in the mouth on arrival at the Start, was examined by the vet and passed suitable to race. Shifted in at the start and was bumped. Rider stated that, in his opinion, his mount performs better on the All Weather surface. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings - Race 407.
MUGEN (H338) jumped only fairly and then was bumped. Near the 800M raced tight. A short distance later was checked when crowded onto the running rail. When commencing to finish the race off well near the 100M could not be ridden out to the finish when held up for clear running - Race 440.
GUSTOSISIMO (J303) shifted out at the start and was bumped. Bumped after the 200M - Race 440.
ALL OUT FOR SIX (L193) jumped only fairly. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event - Race 440.
EMBLAZON (K122) held up for clear running between the 400M and the 300M - Race 423.
JUNEAU PRIDE (J443) passing the 300M got unbalanced when being bumped - Race 423.
MID WINTER WIND (K208) from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. - Race 404.
MR ASCENDENCY (G227) jumped only fairly - Race 413.
TRACKWORK HIGHLIGHT
Son Pak Fu has been steadily ramping up in his recent work and is one to take seriously.
