Recap by phillip woo

Favourite Juicy Dragon settled prominently on the fence before shooting to the front 200m out and proving much too good for a second win. He is continuing his fine form on this surface this season. Mega Captain ran on nicely for second after getting shuffled back to have three behind him coming to the final bend. It was a much-improved effort with a switch in surfaces at his second career start. Punted late Lakeshore Hero ran on well to snatch third after a one-off trip from behind midfield. It was a good performance at his first start over the dirt 1,200m. Cloud Nine held on for fourth but was stopping badly 50m out after leading from gate 12. It wasn't a bad effort at his first start on the surface. Sight Dreamer was doing his best work late through the centre for fifth after making his run two from the rear. He's better suited over a mile trip on this surface. Prestige Win ran on steadily without threatening after a rails run from behind midfield. It was a better effort following a downgrade and switch in surfaces. Vulcanus never went a yard early on before making up good ground late. He requires a stronger rider.
