Recap by phillip woo

He Was Me was headed for the lead 250m out but fought back to get the better of Yee Cheong Raider 50m out for a second win from his past three starts. Yee Cheong Raider kept on gamely for second after assuming the front 250m out following a speed-tracking run from gate 12. It was another fine effort with a step up to 1,400m after a second last start over 1,200m. Winning Machine stayed on a non-threatening third after getting every chance fourth on the fence from gate one. He's close to a win. Winning Diamond ran on steadily near the inside for fourth without threatening the top three after a rails run from midfield. It was a better effort. Panda Legend kept on one paced for fifth after going forward to sit three wide without cover near the front from gate 13.
