Recap by phillip woo

Magnifique had a prominent run on the stands side and after leading near the 300m, he was too smart for a fourth win from five starts. Fast Responder ran on nicely for second from midfield on the grandstand side. He's racing well without winning this term. Chill Buddy kept on well for third after a prominent run in the centre of the track. He's building towards a win after figuring in the mix three times from four runs this term. Sparking Fellow ran made ground late for fourth after shifting over to sit near the stands side travelling behind midfield from gate six. It was another honest effort over the straight 1,000m. Super Strong Kid produced a grinding performance for fifth from midfield near the outside fence from gate 11. Bundle Of Charm came from last at the 600m for fifth. He's run with merit in all three outings over the straight 1,000m. Hayday ran on steadily without menacing from behind midfield. He's itching for a return to Class Four.

Horse No 4 SUPER STRONG KID (K180) Z Purton Was examined by the Veterinary Officer after arriving at the Start and passed suitable to race.

Approaching the 250 Metres was briefly held up between MR DESIRA and WONDERSTAR, both of which shifted ground slightly.

Horse No 6 MR DESIRA (K411) C Y Ho A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 7 PARENTS' LOVE (H405) Y L Chung Crowded shortly after the start by HEALTHY HEALTHY.

When questioned Y L Chung stated that as his horse has a tendency to lay in in its races he elected to allow the horse to race away from the stand rail to ensure that it was able to travel comfortably during the event.

Horse No 8 TACTICAL VICTORY (K521) M L Yeung Jumped awkwardly.

After the 600 Metres BUNDLE OF CHARM (B Avdulla) improved into a narrow run between SPARKLING FELLOW and TACTICAL VICTORY.

Near the 450 Metres TACTICAL VICTORY then was steadied when crowded by BUNDLE OF CHARM which was taken out by SPARKLING FELLOW when that runner was racing tight to the inside of THUNDER KIT (L Hewitson) which shifted out and away from HAYDAY (M Chadwick).

SPARKLING FELLOW and BUNDLE OF CHARM then raced tight for some distance thereafter when THUNDER KIT was unable to relieve the pressure to those runners, due to being placed in restricted room to the outside of HAYDAY.

B Avdulla, L Hewitson and M Chadwick were all asked to exercise more care in similar circumstances.

The performance of TACTICAL VICTORY, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, TACTICAL VICTORY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
