Racing Incident Report
Race Four : (276) - CEDAR HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1000Meters
Horse No 1 ALSONSO (J405) J McDonald J McDonald stated that his mount made a respiratory noise during the running of the event and gave ground noticeably over the final 150 Metres.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm.
Before being allowed to race again, ALSONSO will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 2 PACKING GLORY (L013) Z Purton On jumping made heavy contact with TURQUOISE VELOCITY due to both runners shifting ground.
Z Purton reported that his mount found it difficult to finish the race off under its top weight of 135 lbs.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 DERRYNBLUE (K539) L Ferraris L Ferraris stated that his mount became badly unbalanced on jumping when it stumbled.
He said as a consequence DERRYNBLUE lost ground and then in the early stages did not travel well.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 FULL OF LAUGHTER (L017) R Kingscote Throughout the event raced greenly and lay in and as a consequence proved difficult to ride out in the Home Straight.
Horse No 5 GET FRIENDLY (L069) C L Chau Near the 300 Metres was accidentally struck across the head by the whip of R Kingscote, rider of FULL OF LAUGHTER.
Horse No 6 MAGIC SUPER (K330) J Orman Jumped only fairly.
Between the 300 Metres and the 100 Metres was held up for clear running behind FULL OF LAUGHTER.
Horse No 8 SPICY SPEEDY (K581) M Chadwick Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 TURQUOISE VELOCITY (K533) M L Yeung On jumping made heavy contact with PACKING GLORY due to both runners shifting ground.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 13 COME FAST FAY FAY (K121) H Doyle Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
Near the 200 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between SO MY FOLKS and MAGIC SUPER which shifted in after being steadied away from FULL OF LAUGHTER.
Again near the 100 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between SO MY FOLKS and MAGIC SUPER.
Horse No 14 I P O BROS (K193) Y L Chung Between the 200 Metres and the 100 Metres was held up for clear running.

Turquoise Velocity tracked the speed behind Spicy Spangle from gate seven, shot to the lead 350m out and won eased down on debut. He lived up to his very good trial form. Spicy Speedy stayed on nicely for second after a prominent run near the stands side from gate 12. Like the winner, it was a solid run on debut. Conspirator ran on well for third travelling behind midfield. It was a vastly-improved effort at second run for his new trainer and first ever over the straight 1,000m. I P O Bros finished strongly to snatch fourth after biding his time fourth last on the grandstand side from gate 14. Packing Glory only plodded sitting fourth in the run after jumping awkwardly from gate six. He was carrying 7lb more and equal top weight following a debut win. Full Of Laughter ran on steadily from midfield for sixth. It was a positive run on debut.
