Race Six : (184) - LUKFOOK JEWELLERY HEIRLOOM FORTUNE COLLECTION HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650Meters
Horse No 1 MR COOL (K184) A Atzeni Bumped at the start.
Approaching the 1400 Metres was steadied to avoid FASHION LEGEND (Apprentice E C W Wong) when that runner shifted in whilst not clear.
Apprentice Wong was severely reprimanded.
A Atzeni stated that he could offer no explanation for his mount's disappointing performance and added that the horse, which was having its first race start on the All Weather Track, was not unsuited by racing on this surface.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea and also found the horse to have sustained a mild abrasion to the left front leg.
Before being allowed to race again, MR COOL will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 2 SHANGHAI STYLE (J093) J McDonald Was fractious in the saddling stalls, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.
Between the 350 Metres and the 200 Metres was badly held up for clear running.
Horse No 3 LUCK IS BACK (J398) L Hewitson Bumped at the start.
From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 5 SUPREME AGILITY (J267) Z Purton From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Between the 450 Metres and the 350 Metres was held up for clear running.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 FASHION LEGEND (J080) E C W Wong Shortly after the start was bumped by HAPPY ACTION which shifted in.

Horse No 8 BRIGHT MORTAR (K333) H Bentley Near the 550 Metres was hampered when taken wider by CALIFORNIA STAR.

Horse No 9 SPECIAL HEDGE (H354) C L Chau Bumped at the start.
Noted to have lost its left front plate after the race.
Horse No 10 CALIFORNIA STAR (J123) M Chadwick Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 HAPPY ACTION (K399) K Teetan Shifted in shortly after the start and was bumped.
When placed under pressure approaching the 150 Metres lay out, resulting in its rider K Teetan having to stop riding and straighten his mount.
Horse No 12 YODA'S CHOICE (J146) L Ferraris Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 13 NIGHT PUROSANGUE (J510) B Avdulla Jumped awkwardly, shifted in and made contact with MR COOL.
Leaving the 1500 Metres was checked when crowded between MR COOL which shifted out making the turn and FASHION LEGEND (Apprentice E C W Wong) which shifted in.
Apprentice Wong was severely reprimanded.
Approaching the 1400 Metres was crowded between SHANGHAI STYLE and MR COOL which shifted out after being steadied.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 14 SIGHT DREAMER (J542) M L Yeung In the Home Straight lay out and near the 200 Metres M L Yeung was obliged to stop riding and straighten his mount.
SIGHT DREAMER then continued to lay out over the final 200 Metres and made contact with CALIFORNIA STAR near the 50 Metres.

Supreme Agility was riddent patiently fourth last and finally found a gap 150m out to get up by a lip to deny California Star for a first win at his 24th start. He deserved that after knocking on the door in his first three starts this term. California Star found one just too good after rushing to the lead near the outside 100m out following a one-off trip travelling five back. He was able to build on closing fifths in his first two starts this term. Sight Dreamer found a couple just too good after moving to the lead 200m out following a wide trip with cover from better than midfield. The switch in surface nearly worked the oracle. Happy Action made ground for fourth without threatening the top three after a rails run from midfield. Night Purosangue ran on steadily for fifth after a one-off trip from midfield. Fortune Kingo came from last for sixth. It was an improved effort following a switch in surfaces.
