Precision Goal made his own luck in front yet again to just fend off the late surge of Luck Is Back for a sixth win and both dirt 1,650m runs this term from 35 starts. Luck Is Back made it close on the wire after a wide and without cover trip from better than midfield. It was clearly his best run from 12 starts at his second start on the dirt 1,650m. Reliable Profit just failed to get up for second after a prominent run. It was a fine effort on his first start following a bone injury in March. Kasa Papa ran on steadily for fourth after a wide trip with cover trip from midfield. He's racing well without winning. Fashion Legend gradually faded after chasing the winner on the fence. It was a better effort on his second run this term. Leslie made good ground late without menacing on the extreme outside after biding his time from the rear of the field. Sight Supreme was doing his best work late with one wider out travelling two from the rear.

Horse No 1 PRECISION GOAL (H016) L Ferraris Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 2 CHARMING STEED (E494) E C W Wong After the event Apprentice E C W Wong reported that he was instructed to take up a forward position but from the outside barrier he was unable to carry out his instructions and was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

The performance of CHARMING STEED, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, CHARMING STEED will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Horse No 3 FIGHTING MACHINE (J015) C Y Ho Jumped awkwardly and then got unbalanced after being bumped by CELTIC TIMES which shifted out.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse had returned an abnormal heart rate requiring further assessment.

Following further assessment of the abnormal heart rate, the Stewards will consider if any further action is taken against the horse.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 4 RELIABLE PROFIT (G462) M L Yeung After passing the 500 Metres was steadied away from the heels of LUCK IS BACK.

After the race an endoscopic examination was conducted on RELIABLE PROFIT at the request of Trainer C S Shum.

The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed that the horse was displaying an epiglottic entrapment.

Horse No 6 LUCK IS BACK (J398) L Hewitson Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 7 BILLION TWO (K212) K C Leung The performance of BILLION TWO, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Horse No 8 LESLIE (E471) M F Poon Slow to begin.

Horse No 10 TOY SOLTERO (J268) D Probert Jumped awkwardly and then a short distance later was checked when tightened for room between SIGHT SUPREME which shifted in and YIU CHEUNG VICTORY which shifted out when taken out slightly by BILLION TWO.

Horse No 12 CELTIC TIMES (G230) A Atzeni Shifted out shortly after the start and bumped FIGHTING MACHINE.

Horse No 14 VIEW ALL THINGS (K101) M Chadwick Became fractious and reared after being placed in the starting gates.

Was removed from the barriers, examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.

Before being allowed to race again, VIEW ALL THINGS will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have sustained a small abrasion to the right front leg and also to be displaying an airway abnormality pending further assessment.
