Racing Incident Report
Race Two : (788) - LAM TSUEN RIVER HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 SIGHT DREAMER (J542) B Avdulla From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Leaving the 500 Metres raced tight to the inside of TAIHANG SCENERY.
Horse No 2 BINGO BABE (K115) Z Purton On jumping shifted out and away from DRACO.
Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running.
After the event Z Purton stated that when his mount commenced only fairly he elected to ride it in a conservative manner in the early stages in accordance with his instructions.
Trainer Y S Tsui stated that Jockey Purton was given the option of riding the horse in a conservative manner if it did not begin well.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 KING OBERON (H407) E C W Wong Near the 1000 Metres was briefly crowded by SPEEDY SMARTIE which shifted in.
As a result KING OBERON raced keenly and was steadied to avoid SPEEDY SMARTIE near the 800 Metres.
Briefly held up approaching the 350 Metres when being shifted to the outside of SPEEDY SMARTIE.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 MY FLYING ANGEL (J174) Y L Chung Jumped awkwardly.
Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 SPORTIC WARRIOR (J385) K De Melo Jumped only fairly.
Near the 900 Metres commenced to race keenly and as a result was steadied away from JOYFUL LIFE.
Between the 300 Metres and the 200 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when positioned behind FAIRY HORSE.
Horse No 7 TAIHANG SCENERY (J314) L Ferraris Bounded on jumping and as a result lost ground.
Throughout the early stages raced keenly, got its head up and refused to settle.
Horse No 9 SUPER ELITE (H247) M F Poon Approaching the 700 Metres raced keenly when being steadied to obtain cover behind SPEEDY SMARTIE.
Near the 350 Metres was bumped and taken wider by KING OBERON.
Horse No 10 YOU'REMYEVERYTHING (E413) K C Leung From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 11 FAIRY HORSE (J144) M L Yeung Jumped awkwardly.
Near the 350 Metres was steadied when disappointed for clear running between GLORIOUS EXPERT and SUPER ELITE which was taken out by KING OBERON.
As a result FAIRY HORSE was held up between the 350 Metres and approaching the 250 Metres.

King Oberon settled in the box seat before hitting the front 200m and and proving too good for a first win at his 19th start. The move to claimer Ellis Wong worked the oracle after finding one too good last start. Speedy Smartie found one too good after reclaiming the lead from Spicy Knuckles 300m out following a speed-tracking run. He's as honest as the day is long. Sight Dreamer ran on nicely near the inside for third after settling last from gate 13. It was a good run following a downgrade. You'remyeverything just failed to get up for third with his bid near the outside after making his run five back and three wide with cover from gate 14. It was a pleasing effort. Glorious Expert just got the head down for fifth without threatening the top four after a one-off trip from midfield.
