Recap by phillip woo

Well-backed Superb Capitalist took advantage of a box-seat run to reel in Youthful Spirits 20m out for a sixth win from 33 starts. It was a terrific effort at his first Valley 1,000m run after three improved runs following a downgrade over 1,200m. Youthful Spirits was denied late after claiming the lead 100m out following a speed-chasing run one off behind Parents' Love from gate 10. It was his seventh minor placing over the Valley 1,000m this term. Sky Cap ran on for third after a one-off trip from midfield. It was an improved effort with a step back to 1,000m from four straight runs in Class Three. Healthy Healthy ran on well for fourth after making his run three from the rear. Parents' Love succumbed late after dictating the run as expected from gate five. Thousand Spirit ran on without threatening after making his run third last from gate 12. Sports Legend was next best after having to leap the fallen runner Seasons Wit 50m out following a handy run. Favourite Seasons Wit broke down and tossed his rider 60m out. Eternal Fortune and Watch This One unseaed their riders trying to avoid Seasons Wit.
