Racing Incident Report
Race Six : (664) - THE HONG KONG RIDING FOR THE DISABLED ASSOCIATION 50THANNIVERSARY CUP (HANDICAP) - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 ENJOY GOLF (J222) E C W Wong Near the 50 Metres shifted in and away from LITTLE PARADISE and as a result its rider Apprentice E C W Wong had to correct his mount.
Horse No 2 LITTLE PARADISE (K246) L Ferraris Shortly after the start was crowded between MOUNT EVEREST and GLACIATED which shifted out.
Trainer K H Ting confirmed the instructions were to hold a position forward of midfield preferably with cover.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 MOUNT EVEREST (K237) M L Yeung Bumped on jumping.
Shortly after the start was then bumped heavily by LITTLE PARADISE which shifted out after GLACIATED shifted out and away from ENJOY GOLF.
Horse No 4 HAPPY PARK (J311) Y L Chung Approaching the 800 Metres was steadied to avoid ENJOY GOLF (Apprentice E C W Wong) which shifted in when not clear.
Apprentice Wong was severely reprimanded.
After the event Y L Chung stated that his mount did not travel well during the event and he was disappointed with its finishing effort in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 5 SAL (K267) K C Leung Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
Horse No 7 PEJIBAYE (K297) B Avdulla Jumped only fairly and then was crowded by SAL which shifted out.
Horse No 8 GLACIATED (K272) A Atzeni Shifted out shortly after the start and bumped with LITTLE PARADISE.
Raced keenly in the middle stages and near the 900 Metres was steadied away from HAPPY PARK.
Horse No 9 RUN RAN RUN (J108) C L Chau Jumped awkwardly.
After the event C L Chau stated that his mount attempted to buck shortly after the start and as a result he was obliged to take corrective action on the horse to prevent it from doing so.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
The performance of RUN RAN RUN, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, RUN RAN RUN will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 10 FLYING DOUBLE (J388) M F Poon After the event M F Poon reported that his mount lay in when under pressure In the Home Straight, got its head up and proved difficult to ride out.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 SEA SAPPHIRE (H343) B Thompson Over the concluding stages shifted in and away from ENJOY GOLF, resulting in its rider B Thompson having to straighten his mount.

After getting posted wide travelling behind midfield until slotting in with cover 600m out from gate 10, favourite Little Paradise ran on nicely with one wider out to win going away 70m out. He's shown versatility to win both starts and the future is very bright. Punted late, Sea Sapphire battled away to just get second after chasing the speed on the fence. He was able to back up a win last start. Enjoy Golf ran on nicely to just miss second after a one-off trip from midfield. He's been racing very well without winning this season. Lean Master grudgingly gave way after leading from gate five. It was another honest effort. Glaciated made good ground late for fifth after settling third-last from a tricky gate. He's shown natural progress on each of his three starts. Mount Everest ran on late for sixth after settling second last from gate 11. He might be looking forward to a step up to 1,400m. Pejibaye made some ground without threatening after a rails run from behind midfield. He's gone all right in both starts but is a work in progress.
