Recap by phillip woo

Wonder Kit tracked the speed from gate one and took control 60m out for a third win from 31 starts. He appreciated the downgrade and return to his favourite Valley 1,200m. Well-backed Super Joy N Fun ran on well for second after a prominent run on the fence from gate three. He rarely produces a bad run over the Valley 1,200m. Post time favourite Golden Rise ran on nicely from midfield to finish a close third. It was another fine effort in a higher grade following a win. Sugar Sugar lost a placing late after rushing forward to lead 850m out from gate 12. He was able to build on a close third last start. Storm Rider came on late near the inside for fifth ridden for luck at the rear from gate 10. This positive initial run at the Valley gives him options going forward. Nordic Dragon came on late through the middle for sixth prize money after making his run towards the rear. Regal Gem kept on all right after a three and four wide without cover trip from better than midfield. It was a pleasing first start in Hong Kong. Hayday had little to offer in the stretch drive after sitting wide near the speed from gate five.
