Racing Incident Report
Race Four : (469) - PO TIN HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 PARTERRE (E234) K De Melo After the event, K De Melo stated that from a wide barrier his instructions were to take up a forward position but not necessarily lead.
He said when PARTERRE showed good pace in the early stages he was able to cross to the lead comfortably without being unduly pressured to do so.
Horse No 2 POSITIVE SMILE (J467) M L Yeung From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Near the 100 Metres was momentarily crowded between LASERBLANCA and DASHING PAL which shifted out before being corrected by its rider.
Horse No 3 MASTER PHOENIX (J516) L Ferraris Near the 850 Metres became unbalanced when racing tight to the inside of ISLAND BREEZES.
For a short distance near the 150 Metres was held up for clear running.
After the event, L Ferraris could offer no excuse for the horse not running on strongly in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 BALLISTIC WIN (J040) B Shinn Bumped at the start.

Horse No 5 SUPER GOLDI (H477) K C Leung From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 7 LASERBLANCA (K242) R Moore Bumped at the start.
In the early stages raced keenly and when being crossed by HAPPY TANGO near the 900 Metres shifted in and away from that runner and bumped with LOVING VIBES.
After the event, R Moore stated that after improving to the outside of HAPPY TANGO on straightening LASERBLANCA did not respond to his riding when under pressure in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
The performance of LASERBLANCA was considered disappointing as compared to its previous race start.
Before being allowed to race again, LASERBLANCA will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 LUCKY MY WAY (K146) M F Poon Jumped awkwardly and was bumped.
Horse No 9 RUN RUN TIMING (H403) H Bentley Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 11 LOADED WITH FLUKE (K069) L Hewitson Bumped on jumping and shortly after was crowded between LOVING VIBES and LASERBLANCA.
Horse No 12 LOVING VIBES (J359) K Teetan Bumped after the 900 Metres.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 13 HAPPY TANGO (D075) H T Mo Approaching the 100 Metres was eased when crowded by LASERBLANCA which shifted in and away from ISLAND BREEZES when giving ground.
HAPPY TANGO then could not be fully ridden out to the finish afterwards.
Horse No 14 SMART BEAUTY (G477) Y L Chung Raced very wide and without cover for the majority of the event.

After a one-off trip from behind midfield, the sensationally backed Ballistic Win just got up in the concluding stages to notch a second win from 15 starts. Loving Vibes was pipped late after poking his head in front 20m out following a box-seat run. He's a winner waiting to happen. Island Breezes ran on well down the middle of the track for third after a one-off trip from midfield. He has produced mixed results in his five starts but has filled the frame three times. Parterre lost a placing late after spearing straight to the lead from gate 10. He should find his mark shortly in this grade. Dashing Pal made good ground late near the inside after making his run five back on the fence following a slow start. It was an encouraging run on debut. Run Run Timing just held his ground after a wide run without cover from midfield. Super Goldi was doing some nice work late down the outside after making his run second last from a wide draw. Positive Smile made some ground without threatening after settling second last from gate 14.
