Racing Incident Report
Race Five : (461) - SHAN KWONG HANDICAP - Class 1 - 1650Meters
Horse No 1 NIMBLE NIMBUS (E249) E C W Wong Held up making the Home Turn.
Lay in in the Home Straight and near the 100 Metres raced in restricted room between WOODFIRE BRO and C P BRAVE which shifted in slightly.
Horse No 2 ENCOUNTERED (G236) K Teetan After the event, K Teetan stated that his mount came under pressure making the Home Turn and then failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight and was disappointing.
Trainer D J Hall advised that ENCOUNTERED had pleased him leading into tonight's event.
He said ENCOUNTERED may not have been suited by racing in an on-pace position and may be suited by being stepped up in distance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 HELENE FEELING (H215) H Bentley Approaching the finish shifted out and made contact with MOMENTS IN TIME.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 MOMENTS IN TIME (H474) R Moore Close to the finish was bumped by HELENE FEELING which shifted out.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 THE GOLDEN SCENERY (E379) B Avdulla After the event, B Avdulla reported that his instructions were to ride his mount conservatively in the early stages with cover.
He said in the early stages THE GOLDEN SCENERY was caught wide and when racing keenly he allowed it to stride forward to obtain a position outside the lead to avoid covering additional ground.
Horse No 8 SENOR TOBA (G103) A Atzeni Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 9 WOODFIRE BRO (G115) M L Yeung Passing the 100 Metres was bumped on the hindquarters by NIMBLE NIMBUS when that runner was racing tight to the inside of C P BRAVE.

Moments In Time got up 60m out after a one-off trip from midfield to ring up a third win from 19 starts and second from seven starts over the Valley 1,650m. He rarely produces a bad run over this course. Helene Feeling wouldn't go down without a fight after changing tactics to lead outright from the widest draw. It was another honest performance. C P Brave came on nicely down the outside for third without menacing the top two after a wide trip travelling one from the rear. It was one of his better showings. Mr Ascendency just held on for fourth after getting all the favours travelling midfield on the fence. He couldn't back up a rallying last-start success carrying two pounds more. Following a patient ride third last, Nimble Nimbus just failed to get up for fourth after struggling for a clear run until the 200m with a claimer atop. He requires a stronger rider. Woodfire Bro came up one-paced. He has disappointed in five starts across both tracks after returning a winner over last night's course and distance. Early favourite Encountered disappointed after getting all the favours.
