Racing Incident Report
Race Eight : (548) - LEE WOO SING ALUMNI HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 YOU'REMYEVERYTHING (E413) Y L Chung Bumped at the start.
Near the 900 Metres improved to the inside of PHOENIX LIGHT and was steadied away from that runner.
After the race, Apprentice Y L Chung stated that his mount may not have been suited by the track conditions which, whilst still rated as "Good" had effects of some light rain which had fallen during the meeting.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, YOU'REMYEVERYTHING will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 2 SUPER LEGENDS (H364) C L Chau After the race, C L Chau stated that his mount may not have been suited by the track conditions which, whilst still rated as "Good" had some effects of light rain which had fallen during the meeting.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 PHOENIX LIGHT (G192) E C W Wong Stumbled shortly after the start after being bumped by YOU'REMYEVERYTHING.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 KING MILES (J158) H Bowman When questioned, H Bowman stated that it was not his intention to lead the event, but shortly after the start his mount blundered which then resulted in KING MILES commencing to race keenly and improving to lead.
He stated that given the manner in which his mount was racing, he was reluctant to restrain it to obtain cover, and when SEA SAPPHIRE crossed to the position to his outside near the 900 Metres, KING MILES would not relax in the lead.
He added that as a result KING MILES was left vulnerable at the end of the race.
Trainer K W Lui confirmed the instructions were to obtain a forward position from the inside barrier but not to lead on KING MILES.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 5 LUCY IN THE SKY (J275) K Teetan Near the 150 Metres was steadied and directed to the outside of KING MILES to obtain clear running.
Horse No 6 STORMING DRAGON (J237) Z Purton Jumped only fairly and then was crowded shortly after the start.
Horse No 8 SUPER UNICORN (H481) K C Leung Jumped awkwardly and then was crowded shortly after the start.

Horse No 9 AWESOME TREASURE (E435) M L Yeung Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 10 SEA SAPPHIRE (H343) A Badel After the race, A Badel reported that at its last race start SEA SAPPHIRE was advantaged by being able to obtain the lead from the inside barrier.
He said today he was obliged to make some use of SEA SAPPHIRE to take up a position outside the lead and as a consequence the horse gave ground in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 MULTIDARLING (H148) L Hewitson From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 12 KING OBERON (H407) L Ferraris After the race, L Ferraris stated that on jumping his left foot made contact with SUNNY DA BEST and as a result he looked down to reposition his foot in the stirrup iron.
Approaching the 900 Metres KING OBERON was checked when crowded by SUNNY DA BEST (K De Melo) which, after being steadied away from YOU'REMYEVERYTHING, shifted in, crowding KING OBERON.
K De Melo was reprimanded.
In issuing a reprimand, the Stewards acknowledged that Jockey De Melo had corrected his mount when it shifted in towards KING OBERON.
Horse No 13 CRAZY TREASURE (J063) B Thompson In the middle stages raced keenly and after the 900 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from LUCY IN THE SKY.
Horse No 14 STRATHPEFFER (H095) H Bentley Shifted out on jumping and was bumped on the hindquarters.

Phoenix Light just got up in the final few metres after being posted three wide for a good part of the race from midfield to score an overdue win with the claim well utilised. He had been knocking on the door in three of four prior starts over the Sha Tin 1,200m following a downgrade. Awesome Treasure kept on gamely for second after tracking the leading pair one off from gate 11. He's racing well without winning. Newcomer Storming Dragon surged late with two wider out to just snatch third after a rails run from behind midfield. It was an eye-catching debut effort and he'll be winning races in no time. Favourtite King Miles wouldn't go away without a fight after dictating the run from gate one. He's made a good impression in both starts and will be saluting shortly. Lucy In The Sky stayed on reasonably well after a prominent run from a tricky gate. It was a pleasing debut effort. Strathpeffer weaved a run late to finish next best from behind midfield. He might need a dip into Class Five to open his win account.
