Race Ten : (204) - CHEVALIER CONSTRUCTION HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 2 GOLDEN EMPIRE (E490) L Hewitson After the race, L Hewitson stated that whilst he was able to obtain a position outside the lead, he was of the view that his mount races best when it is able to obtain cover.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 4 GLOBAL HARMONY (G337) K Teetan Bumped shortly after the start and then from the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 5 COTTON FINGERS (H398) M Chadwick Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 GOOD BUDDY (E097) L Ferraris A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 8 HAPPY DAILY (E294) A Hamelin Bumped shortly after the start and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 9 LADY'S CHOICE (H155) Z Purton When questioned, Z Purton stated that his instructions were to hold a more foreword position, but LADY'S CHOICE bounded on jumping and as a consequence lost ground and settled further back than he had intended.
He added that near the 350 Metres he became held up behind GOLDEN EMPIRE and did not obtain clear running until near the 200 Metres whereby LADY'S CHOICE finished the race off fairly.

Horse No 12 UP AND UP (H163) M L Yeung Shifted out at the start and was bumped.

Favourite I Give just scrambled home after turning three lengths on top jumping straight to the front from gate three for a fifth-straight win despite a rise in class. He's racing well and suited by the track bias yesterday for speed. Cotton Fingers made it close on the wire after a box seat run. He's done well to place second in two of three starts and should pick up a race shortly. Global Harmony flew home late down the outside to finish a close third after a stone cold ride from the widest draw. He does have the tools to build on a last start win. Toronado Phantom ran on steadily for fourth after saving ground from midfield. It was another honest effort. Lady's Choice made some ground to finish next best after getting held up for a run until near the 100m following a rails run from behind midfield. He should have finished closer. Beauty Crescent ran on steadily to just miss fifth prize money after a one-off trip from midfield. He couldn't build on back-to-back placings carrying top weight on this occasion. Wings Of War ran on without ever looking a threat from towards the rear. He should come on for this run.
