Recap by phillip woo
Running Glory showed a good turn of foot to win going away 20m out after a one-off trip in midfield to up his record to five wins from nine starts despite tackling 2,000m for the first time. He has the tools to head higher. Bourbonaire stayed on nicely to finish a close second after settling better than midfield on the fence. He had flashed potential in his first four starts. Turin Redsun found a couple too smart after hitting the front 250m out following a prominent run. He might be better suited over 1,800m. Flying Quest came from behind midfield to fill the frame without menacing the top three. He's an honest old-timer. Money Catcher had his chance after a pace-stalking run. The big weight took its toll. Berlin Tango ran on without menacing from towards the rear. He wasn't suited by the muddling tempo. Looking Great was stopping 100m out after rolling forward three deep to lead 1,350m out. He had an excuse. Charity Go wasn't suited by the way the race was run after making his run at the rear of the field. Enjoying was a non-factor after having to assume a box-seat role. He's at his best when allowed to bowl along in front.
