Racing Incident Report
Race Eight: (36) - CHA KWO LING HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1000Meters
ETERNAL HARVEST began only fairly.
GREEN AEON began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped LOVING A BOOM.
GREEN AEON was then hampered by LOVING A BOOM which shifted out after becoming unbalanced due to the initial contact from GREEN AEON.
In this incident, ETERNAL HARVEST was inconvenienced as a result of GREEN AEON shifting out.
BALTIC WHISPER was crowded for room on jumping between AMAZING KIWI and FLYING GENIUS.
FLYING GENIUS was then slow to muster speed despite being ridden along.
Making the turn after the 600 Metres, HEART CONQUERED got its head on the side and lost ground when awkwardly placed inside the heels of VERY SWEET ORANGE.
Also making the turn after the 600 Metres, ETERNAL HARVEST was crowded for room between FLYING GENIUS which shifted in marginally and GREEN AEON which made the turn awkwardly and shifted out.
In this incident, BALTIC WHISPER got its head on the side and shifted out away from ETERNAL HARVEST.
Passing the 300 Metres, LOVING A BOOM was shifted to the inside of HEART CONQUERED.
Passing the 200 Metres, GREEN AEON and AMAZING KIWI brushed.
Near the 150 Metres, AMAZING KIWI, which was giving ground, was steadied and shifted out away from the heels of GREEN AEON (J Moreira) which shifted out under pressure.
J Moreira was severely reprimanded and told that in similar circumstances he would be expected to stop riding and straighten his mount sooner than he did on this occasion.
Passing the 150 Metres, LOVING A BOOM was checked when disappointed for running between NEXTMODEL and HEART CONQUERED which, after shifting out marginally, then shifted back in.
As the Stewards were satisfied that LOVING A BOOM had not established running to the outside of NEXTMODEL at any stage, no further action was taken.
LOVING A BOOM then raced tight between NEXTMODEL and HEART CONQUERED passing the 100 Metres when improving into restricted room between those horses.
Throughout the race, MOMENT OF POWER travelled wide and without cover.
After the race, it was noted that ETERNAL HARVEST had sustained an abrasion to the left front cannon.
A veterinary inspection of FLYING GENIUS and NEXTMODEL immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
ETERNAL HARVEST, GREEN AEON and SAUL'S SPECIAL were sent for sampling.
GENERAL:

After the running of Race 2, the track classification was officially changed from "Good??to "Good to Firm?? This change in the opinion of the Stewards should be recorded as being retrospective.
As a consequence of this, the official results will show Race 2 being run on a track rated "Good to Firm??

Additional Veterinary Reports from Sha Tin Racemeeting on 13 September 2020 Subsequent official veterinary inspections (without endoscopy) of SUPER KIN, HANDSOME REBEL, BLOTTING PAPER, BUNDLE OF ENERGY, ROYAL RACER, EIGHT TRIGRAMS, FORTUNE HAPPINESS, ADONIS, WINWIN THIRTYTHREE, MASTER GALAXY, REGENCY MASTER, FAMILY LEADER, STARSHIP, MIGHTY POWER, SEAWEED FORTUNE, ALL FOR ST PAUL'S, WILL POWER, CZARSON, SKY FIELD, LOCKHEED, GOLD CHEST, TEAM SPIRIT, CIRCUIT GLORY and STAR OF YUEN LONG revealed no apparent abnormality.

Racing Laboratory tests of JOY MASTER, ART OF RAW, MONEYMORE, TELECOM MISSILE, ALL JOYFUL, WINSTON'S LAD, SUPER RED DRAGON, UNTOLD RICHES, BRIGHT KID, BREEZE OF SPRING, SUMSTREETSUMWHERE, LEAP OF FAITH, ANGEL OF MY EYES, UNITED WE STAND, PRINCE OF GEMS, PEGASUS GLORY, METRO WARRIOR, ALLIED AGILITY, COMPUTER PATCH, PERFECT MATCH, JOLLY BANNER, EXCELLENT PROPOSAL, STAR PERFORMANCE, BEAUTY APPLAUSE, MONGOLIAN KING and BALLISTIC KING (6.9.20) proved negative.

Punted late Green Aeon finished strongly to grab victory in the dying stages after settling second last after a sluggish start. He had caught the eye in his only outing last term. Saul's Special found one too good after a one-off run in midfield. He really performs well under the guidance of Zac Purton. Well-backed late Heart Conquered just held onto third after hitting the front near the 100m following a box-seat run. Loving A Boom was unlucky not to have at least placed after getting badly held up from the 250m to the 100m when trying to get a run from behind midfield. Favourite Eternal Harvest closed nicely down the outside after a patient ride at the rear to finish on the bottom of a three-horse photo for third. Amazing Kiwi made some ground without menacing from beyond midfield. He'll be one to keep safe if he finds his way into Class Four. Nextmodel didn't have much left in the tank 100m out after dictating a genuine pace from a wide gate.
