Odds-on favourite Snap Fit just out-dashed second favourite Special Stars after hitting the front 100m out following a handy run on the fence to remain unbeaten in three starts. Special Stars gave the favourite a run for his money following a midfield run on the fence from a good gate. He was fitter for a run and had everything fall into place over his favourite trip. In his best run so far, Beauty Charisma grudgingly gave way after finding the front with a 10-pound claimer on top. He had the benefit of two runs under his belt and the light weight helped. King's Eminence kept on reasonably well following a one-out, one-back run. It was an encouraging debut and he might be able to make a name for himself as a sprinter. Forza Angel came up flat inside the last 100m after pressing Beauty Charisma for the lead from a wide gate. Happy Lifeline made some ground without menacing after a deep run beyond midfield. It wasn't a bad run at only his third local start.

From a wide barrier, MEGA HEART was shifted across behind runners soon after the start.

After the 150 Metres, Z Purton, the rider of SNAP FIT, momentarily dropped his right rein.

Throughout the race, BALTIC WHISPER travelled wide and without cover.

SNAP FIT and SPECIAL STARS were sent for sampling.
