‘Let’s be clear’: Rishi Sunak says UK must ‘evolve’ its China foreign policy

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has called for Britain’s foreign policy approach to China to “evolve” and declared the “golden era” between the two countries to be over. During his remarks at the annual Lord Mayor’s banquet in London on November 28, 2022, Sunak also said China posed a “systemic challenge” to Britain’s “values and interests”.
