‘It has been a huge honour’, says UK prime minister Liz Truss after 6 weeks in office

Outgoing British prime minister Liz Truss said the country faced “brighter days” as she made her final speech as leader on October 25, 2022. Truss stepped down after just 49 days in office, becoming the shortest-serving prime minister in Britain’s history. She is being succeeded by former chancellor Rishi Sunak.
