McDonald’s reopens in Ukraine amid ongoing Russian invasion

Dozens of residents in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv waited for hours in front of a McDonald's as it reopened on September 20, 2022, for the first time in more than six months. The fast-food chain closed after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The American company reopened three branches in the capital, allowing delivery services. It plans to gradually reopen in parts of the country over the coming weeks and to allow dine-in services.
