Trump supporters storm US Capitol, forcing lockdown amid declaration of Biden victory

Supporters of US President Donald Trump on January 6, 2021, stormed the US Capitol, where Congress was debating the certification of Joe Biden’s presidential win. The Capitol building was locked down after pro-Trump protesters entered the Senate chamber and tear gas was used in the building.
