Trump pressures Pence to block Congress’ confirmation of Biden’s presidential win

US President Donald Trump on January 6, 2021, demanded Vice-President Mike Pence block Congress’ confirmation of Biden’s presidential victory.

Speaking to thousands of supporters near the White House, Trump claimed they will win “if Mike Pence does the right thing.”

The vice-president is powerless to reject the certification of the presidential election results, and Pence has declined Trump’s demand.
