Recap by phillip woo

Odds-on favourite Happydearhappydeer travelled prominently on the fence before shooting to the lead near the inside at the 260m and finding plenty for a maiden win at his 18th start. He was able to back up a second at his opening start this term. Superb Guy stayed on well for second after taking off 700m out and coming to the final bend four wide without cover travelling better than midfield. It was clearly his best effort from three starts over the dirt 1,650m. Happy Action plugged on for third after settling third in the run with cover from gate five. He has now run well both times over the dirt 1,650m. Go Go Go finished well near the outside to just miss a placing after making his run three from the rear from a tricky gate. It was a better effort at his third start this term. Hailtothevictors rallied to just miss the frame after a patient ride travelling second last. He might be seeking a step up to 1,800m. Whacked late in betting. Yee Cheong Raider ran on without threatening after making his run at the rear from the widest draw. My Flying Angel just plodded after a rails run from midfield.
