Favourite Baby Sakura had a prominent run one off the fence and after rushing to the lead 200m out, he just got the head bob for a fifth success from eight starts. It onwards and upwards from the progressive four-year-old. Punted late Nyx Gluck ran on strongly with two wider out to make it close on the wire after a one-off trip from behind midfield. It was a solid performance in a richer test following a win. Garrix ran on nicely after straight four or five deep to finish a close third following a five-back run along the inside. It was an encouraging first run in Hong Kong. Aeroinvincible found a few too good after bowling along in front as expected from gate six. It was another genuine effort over 1,400m. Beauty Bolt kept on one paced for fifth after getting held up early straight.

Race Eleven : (118) - WO CHE HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Meters

Horse No 1 BEAUTY BOLT (K491) P N Wong Between the 400 Metres and the 200 Metres was held up for clear running between CHILL BUDDY and AEROINVINCIBLE which shifted out.

After being shifted to the inside of AEROINVINCIBLE after the 200 Metres BEAUTY BOLT then could not be ridden out between the 150 Metres and the 50 Metres when AEROINVINCIBLE shifted back in.

Horse No 3 MIGHTY MASTS (L153) K Teetan From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Horse No 4 EMBLAZON (K122) K C Leung Jumped awkwardly, shifted out and made contact with NYX GLUCK.

K C Leung stated that his mount came under pressure in the Home Straight and when he was concerned there was something amiss he did not ride it out to the finish of the event.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

The performance of EMBLAZON, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, EMBLAZON will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Horse No 8 BABY SAKURA (L230) C Y Ho Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 9 GENEVA (J114) J Orman J Orman stated that his mount travelled further forward than he had expected.

He said GENEVA was obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event and soon after entering the Home Straight came under pressure and gave ground.

Trainer D J Halll could offer no excuse for the horse's disappointing performance.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

The performance of GENEVA was considered disappointing.

Before being allowed to race again, GENEVA will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Horse No 10 CHILL BUDDY (K469) C L Chau C L Chau reported that his mount responded only fairly to his riding in the Home Straight and, in his opinion, raced flat which he attributed to the horse having two hard runs this season.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 12 AKASHVANI (K234) B Avdulla From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Horse No 13 NYX GLUCK (K438) Z Purton Bumped at the start.

Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 14 KING OF FIGHTERS (K174) A Badel From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Horse No 2 SALON S (K585) M F Poon Was withdrawn at the Start by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice after it was found to be displaying an irregular heart rhythm.

Before being allowed to race again, SALON S will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

GENERAL:

1.

After the running of Race 10, the track classification was officially changed from "Good" to "Good to Firm" This change in the opinion of the Stewards should be recorded as being retrospective.

As a consequence of this, the official results will show Races 9 and 10 being run on a track rated "Good to Firm"

Whip Rule Offences - 14 October 2026 Happy Valley Racemeeting The following jockey was found to be in breach of Rule 100(3)(ii)(a) for using the whip on consecutive occasions:- Race 3 (101) K Teetan (PRESTIGE RICKY) - 2 consecutive strides passing the 200 Metres - Reprimand Race 3 (101) K Teetan (PRESTIGE RICKY) was warned in relation to using his whip in a manner where the hand holding the whip was above shoulder height on one occasion over the concluding stages.

Race 4 (102) H T Mo (CASA BUDDY) was severely reprimanded in relation to using his whip forward of the saddle in a forehand manner on one occasion near the 300 Metres.
