Recap by phillip woo
Flashing Fighter settled one out and one back before hitting the front near the 100m and drawing clear for a second win from four starts. He was nursed back to top health following lameness in June and did win first up last term. Favourite Cloud Nine was given every chance after leading 850m out from gate five. He continues to race well without winning. Legend Star ran on well to grab third after a rails run from midfield. He proved a rallying second last start was not a fluke. Speedy Smartie kept on well for fourth after getting posted wide near the front after jumping alertly from gate 10. He's as honest as the day is long. Bits Superstar ran on steadily for fifth after a one-off trip from better than midfield. It was an OK effort carrying more weight following a win. Outgate was making good ground late after making his run three wide travelling towards the rear from gate eight. Perfect Triumph ran on without threatening after making his run one from the rear. Classic Triple tamely faded after a box-seat run from gate one.
