Horse No 1 DRAGON FOUR SEAS (J317) L Ferraris Crowded on jumping between FORERUNNER and CASA BUDDY.
Near the 1100 Metres was steadied when crowded by SAME TO YOU which shifted out.
In this incident DRAGON FOUR SEAS shifted out, made contact with CASA BUDDY and became unbalanced.
Horse No 2 FORERUNNER (G465) K C Leung On jumping shifted out and made contact with DRAGON FOUR SEAS.
FORERUNNER then raced tight between DRAGON FOUR SEAS and SAME TO YOU which shifted out.
Making the Home Turn was unable to improve to the outside of SAME TO YOU when that runner shifted out.
As a result FORERUNNER was shifted to the inside of SAME TO YOU to continue into clear running.

Horse No 10 COUNTRY PRIDE (L325) Z Purton When questioned regarding the horse racing in a more forward position Z Purton stated that the intention was to hold a midfield position preferably with cover.
He said after jumping well when CASA BUDDY and DRAGON FOUR SEAS which were positioned to his inside were crowded for room he was able to allow COUNTRY PRIDE to stride forward.
He added when the pace of the event was run on standard time this resulted in COUNTRY PRIDE racing in an on-pace position, however, was obliged to race wide and without cover when not able to cross runners to his inside.
Trainer J Size confirmed the instructions.
Horse No 11 CASA BUDDY (L101) H T Mo Shifted in on jumping and made contact with DRAGON FOUR SEAS.

Recap by phillip woo
Well-backed Elegant Life settled one off the fence in fifth before hitting the front 100m out and holding on for a third win from 25 starts. He took advantage of a better draw after producing a closing seventh last month from gate 11. Smashed late to jump favourite, Same To You ran on late near the inside to finish a close second after settling fourth on the rails. He can bob up at any moment after placings in two of three starts this term. Country Pride stayed on very well for third after getting posted three wide without cover near the front from gate nine. He has caught the eye with thirds in both starts this term. The Perfect Match ran on nicely with two wider out to fill a quartet spot after a patient ride three from the rear. He rarely produces a bad run over the Valley 1,200m. Dragon Four Seas stayed on all right for fifth after a wide trip with cover from midfield. It was a better effort second up following a downgrade and step up to 1,200m. Early favourite Forerunner ran on without threatening after a rails run from behind midfield. Veteran Find My Love was making inroads late to finish next best.
