Recap by phillip woo

Favourite Akermanis Gold enjoyed a dream run fourth on the fence and responded nicely to get up 80m out for back-to-back wins this term. He should remain in the grade and can win another. Gazeley ran on nicely for second after a one-off trip from midfield. He was able to back up a improved second last start. Sure Joyful grudgingly gave way after getting pestered for the lead from the 1,150m by Dragon On Snow. He should be able to steal a race shortly off his current mark of 42 or shortly down in Class Five. Wellbacked Vermilion Tempest ran on late with two wider out for fourth after a patient ride third last from gate six. It was an improved effort at his second start over the Valley 1,650m this term. Casa Rochester was doing his best work late one from the right for fifth after making his run second last from gate nine. He should reconsider a step up to 1,800m. Lucky Together stayed on all right along the inside for sixth after a rails run from midfield. Shamz came from last to finish next best without ever looking a threat. Ivy League tamely faded after an ideal run travelling one off forward of midfield.
