Recap by phillip woo

Storm Mirror was slowly away, but he took over 1,250m out and after straightening two lengths on top, he was too good for a first win at his fifth start. He was able to brush off a defeat after over racing from a wide draw last start. Favourite Tin Fook stayed on well for second after a rails run from midfield. He is well rated on the back of last season's form. Soo Koo clung onto third after chasing the winner from gate six. It was clearly his best effort from four starts. Absolute Awakened just lost a placing after making ground late near the inside from behind midfield. He was not good enough carrying 6lb more following a win.

Horse No 3 ABSOLUTE AWAKENED (K039) K C Leung Shortly after the start was steadied when crowded by ONE MORE.

ONE MORE then shifted in and away from STUNNING BUNDLE and crowded ABSOLUTE AWAKENED.

Near the 550 Metres endeavoured to improve into a run between STORM MIRROR and SOO KOO when there was not sufficient room to do so.

When SOO KOO held its position, ONE MORE then was checked when disappointed between STORM MIRROR and SOO KOO.

H T Mo was reprimanded and advised in similar circumstances he would be expected to ride with more care than he did on this occasion.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its left front leg.

Before being allowed to race again, ONE MORE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Horse No 5 STORM MIRROR (L179) C Y Ho C Y Ho advised that he was instructed to take up a forward position but not necessarily lead.

He added that he then endeavoured to improve between ONE MORE and STUNNING BUNDLE, however, ONE MORE shifted out which resulted in the run closing near the 350 Metres and CAVA PIONEER not being able to secure clear running for the remainder of the event.
