Racing Incident Report
Race Three : (90) - LAM TEI HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 CROSSBORDERDUDE (L022) A Atzeni A Atzeni advised that CROSSBORDERDUDE would derive benefit from today's first up performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 CALL ME SPARKLE (K571) J Orman For a short distance making the Home Turn was held up behind INVINCIBLE STARR.
J Orman stated that the instructions were to hold a midfield position.
He said after his mount jumped only fairly and then was crowded by LUCKY DOCTOR which shifted out shortly after the start, he was then unable to hold his position to the inside of INVINCIBLE STARR in the early stages and as a result settled slightly further back than intended.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 INVINCIBLE STARR (L078) M F Poon After travelling a short distance was steadied to avoid LUCKY DOCTOR which lay out.
Horse No 4 MIGHTY PROFIT (L347) C L Chau Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 HOLMES A COURT (J511) B Avdulla Leaving the 900 Metres was hampered when bumped by LUCKY DOCTOR which shifted out.
Near the 600 Metres became badly unbalanced when bumped heavily by LUCKY DOCTOR which shifted out abruptly.
B Avdulla reported that after being bumped heavily near the 600 Metres his mount lost momentum from that point and failed to finish the race off in the Home Straight.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
HOLMES A COURT, which weakened in the Home Straight, will be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
Horse No 9 LUCKY DOCTOR (L225) P N Wong Shifted out shortly after the start and was corrected by its rider.
Approaching the 900 Metres, when racing keenly, was steadied to avoid MABUBU (C Y Ho) which shifted in when not sufficiently clear.
C Y Ho was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground.
In this incident LUCKY DOCTOR shifted out and made contact with HOLMES A COURT.
LUCKY DOCTOR then continued to race keenly and near the 600 Metres hung out abruptly despite the efforts of its rider and made heavy contact with HOLMES A COURT, resulting in HOLMES A COURT becoming badly unbalanced.
A warning was placed on the racing manners of LUCKY DOCTOR.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings other than the horse was found to have blood in its mouth.
Horse No 10 WARRIORS DREAM (K255) E C W Wong Jumped only fairly.
Shortly after the start became unbalanced when it got its head up whilst being restrained to obtain a position with cover.
Near the 700 Metres was steadied to avoid BEST FARM which was taken in by MIGHTY PROFIT (C L Chau) which shifted in when not sufficiently clear.
C L Chau was advised to exercise more care.
Horse No 11 SUPER DRAGON (K389) A Badel Jumped only fairly.
From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 12 BEST FARM (K579) M L Yeung Near the 700 Metres was steadied to avoid MIGHTY PROFIT.
From the 350 Metres to the 300 Metres was held up for clear running when being shifted to the outside of MIGHTY PROFIT.
Horse No FOREVER LIFE (K488) M Chadwick Withdrawn on 10.10.26 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter HOLMES A COURT.
Before being allowed to race again, FOREVER LIFE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Favourite Mighty Profit had a one-off trip in midfield and quickened nicely to get up 50m out after a one-off trip from behind midfield for a maiden win at his second start. He was able to build on an eye-catching debut in July. Punted late Call Me Sparkle ran on nicely for second after a rails run from behind midfield. He is best fresh. Mabubu succumbed late for third after straightening nearly three lengths on top dictating the pace from gate four. He was able to build on an opening fifth over 1,000m. Punted late Super Dragon wove a run late for fourth after making his run at the rear from gate 12.
